Comparison

SlickCell Pro and RepairDesk are shaped differently

Both run a repair shop. They disagree about how you buy, what a plan includes, and whether you can look at the thing before you speak to anyone. This page states the differences we have checked, and shows where we checked them.

What the differences mean

Three decisions, and what each one costs you

You can start without talking to anyone — or you cannot
Our trial CTA goes to a signup form, and fourteen days start on the plan you picked, with no card. Theirs opens a lead form. Neither is wrong: a sales-led trial gets you a person who knows the product. It is a different thing from being able to look at it on a Tuesday evening, and it is worth knowing which one you are clicking.
One feature set, or a core plus a catalogue
Every SlickCell Pro plan carries every feature; the plans differ by team size, locations, discounting and support. Their line separates the core system from products bought alongside it. If you want an AI receptionist or a phone system, that is a real advantage on their side and we do not have an answer to it. If you want the price you were quoted to be the price after you have grown, ours is the simpler shape.
One trade, or twelve
They sell the same system into twelve trades. We sell into one: shops that repair, buy and resell devices. That is a smaller market and a narrower product, and it shows up in things like tracking every handset as its own record with its own cost, condition and tax treatment — which is over-built for a tailor and roughly the whole job for a phone shop.

None of the three is a fault. They are choices, and they suit different shops.

How this was checked

Every claim this page makes about RepairDesk, with where it came from and when somebody looked. If one of these is out of date or wrong, it is a factual error on our part — write to us and we will correct it.

1.RepairDesk's Free Trial button opens a lead form. There is no path that starts a trial without contacting sales first.

2.Their product line separates the core system from add-on products sold alongside it — an AI receptionist, a phone system, appointments, franchise and mail-in modules each appear as their own product in the Products menu.

3.They sell into twelve trades, from cell phone repair through to tailoring, with a page for each.

4.Their blog is published on a separate subdomain rather than on the main site.

5.We could not establish what RepairDesk costs. Their pricing page returns 403 to an automated request, and the third-party directories that list it disagree with each other — some show a per-user monthly figure, others a flat per-store one, at materially different amounts.

We publish no rating, score or ranking for either product, here or in this page's structured data. We hold no customer reviews, so there is nothing to aggregate.

Questions

What people ask before switching

That depends on which of the differences above matters to your shop. If you want every feature on every plan, a price that does not change shape as you grow, and to start a trial without a sales call, SlickCell Pro is built that way on purpose. If you need an AI receptionist or a phone system bundled with your repair software, we do not offer those and they do.

We are not going to tell you, because we could not establish it to a standard we would be willing to publish. Their pricing page blocks automated requests, and the directories that list it disagree — some quote a per-user monthly figure, others a flat per-store one, at different amounts. Ask them. Ours is £39, £59 or £99 a month excluding VAT, and it is on the pricing page without a form.

Stock, customers and suppliers import from CSV. What imports, what does not, and what happens if an import goes wrong is set out in full on the migration page, including the limits — a committed import is not reversible in one click.

No. They publish a partner count in the dozens; we name the integrations we actually have and do not publish a count. If a specific integration is the reason you are choosing, check ours first — that is a real reason to pick them.

No, and it would be strange to claim otherwise — we make one of the two products. What it is instead is checkable: every claim about them carries a source and a date, and the one figure we could not verify is named as unverified rather than filled in with a guess.

None. The product is new and we have not collected any, so there is no rating on this site, no badge, and no review markup in the page's structured data. When there are reviews they will be real ones.
